We like the food, at Chevys. We were led to believe that there were special prices for Cinco de Mayo. Not so. In fact, the beer was higher priced than normal (even more than any other place in town, for lesser quality beer). The Margaritas are good, but nothing special for Cinco. In fact, the advertising invited us in. The prices were no different than any other day, and they were not honoring even Happy Hour prices. Hmm.

Hey Chevy's. Really? Jacking up the price of of beer just because it's Cinco de Mayo? A pint during happy hour is usually $5, but on Cinco de Mayo, it's $7.49. And, that's for a cheap 4.5% ABV Pacifico. Not cool to price gouge. We won't be back.
We use to eat at the Vancouver, Wa location every week until it closed so now we come over to the Hillsboro Chevys once in awhile when we are in the area. The chips and salsa is what we look forward to the most. I always order the same thing which is a chicken enchilada, chili relleno and pork tamale. It did not disappoint me last night. We don’t get to chevy’s very much anymore. I did have a birthday email and wanted to visit again so we chose to go on Wednesday’s which was marketed at Kids eat for $1 with a regular entree purchase. So, my husband got an entree for $17.99, I thought I got mine free and a side soup, and our 3 year old had his and a drink. Well- you can’t use both special coupons (which doesn’t state on either of these by the way) I was disappointed since I hadn’t planned on spending that much, but oh well. Great food, great service! I come all the way from Boise, Idaho to enjoy the chips and salsa. Don’t like the new menu though. And the guacamole made at the table is too expensive.

Usually the food is great. This time my chile relleno and my enchilada where dry and overcooked. My husband's beef burrito hardly had any beef.
