Let me start by dispelling the myth that Chesterwood is “just a retirement village.” It is so much more than that. I had a Lumbar 3–4 laminectomy on 5/12/26, fully expecting to go home the next day and begin outpatient therapy. The universe, however, had other plans. I was told I needed inpatient skilled nursing and advanced therapy, and after doing my research, it became clear that Chesterwood was the best place for me.
