I'm at the center right now, recovering from a broken wrist that has made doing things they were already challenging with my spinal cord injury a lot harder. I was anxious about what to expect, but I had nothing to worry about. The staff is amazing, professional, kind, and motivating. The room is clean, big, and equipped for my needs wonderfully. Even the food is awesome! LOL
I have worked in other rehab facilities and none of them compare to the family-like atmosphere that you will find at Chesapeake Healthcare. This would be my one and only choice for my family members because I see firsthand how compassionate and attentive the nurses are to our residents. Our therapists also go above and beyond to make connections with each resident, catering to their individual needs. This facility is wondeful. All of the staff are kind and caring and go out of their way to help the residents with anything that they need. I would recommend this facility to everyone. I think that our therapists are wondeful and very helpful. Being an employee here at this facility is wondeful. It is like one big family here and you really get to know the staff. I think I can speak for all of the therapists in the rehab department.. We truly love our job and we love each and every one of our patients. We strive to give them as pleasant of a rehab experience as possible and make them as comfortable as we can during a difficult time. We try to convey to them (and their family members) that we truly care about their wellbeing!
My mother has been here before and now again. The first time came in on a stretcher and walked out.That was 28 days later. PT was amazing. We are hoping for the same results again. I would recommend it highly.
"This is a great facility, I would recommend it to anyone who needs physical rehabilitation. The staff are excellent. Top professional therapeutic staff. I was totally paralyzed from the waist down 9 weeks ago, now I can walk with a walker over a thousand feet. Therapist Ashley and Jen Meyers are great.
