CAUTION- In 2017 we were moving towards purchasing our home in Huntingtown. An inspector found serious problems with the chimney. I opted to stop the purchase until $15K in repair/replacements were made. The seller had Mark(owner of Chesapeake Chimney and Co) reach out to me direct. Mark vouched for his "15 years of inspections" on home and asked me to trust him over inspector. I took him at his word. We have been trying to contact the company for over 2 weeks after the inspection and cleaning of our chimney. We were told the full chimney couldn't be accessed at the time (why?), and the tech would come back another time to finish...the inspection? The cleaning? We were told we needed an entire new system and our chimney had reached life expectancy (which is only 14 years old). We had the system inspected 2 years ago and there were no signs of this. I bought a house with a 50 year old metal firebox fireplace encased in brickwork which made up half the width of the gable end. The firebox was clearly damaged. The mantle and room were covered in smoke stains from where the old fans, instead of capturing heat, blew smoke into the house. Chesapeake Chimney came out to our house and replaced our 50 year old chimney and fireplace with a beautiful new wood stove insert! The attention to detail, customer service and professional quality work were excellent! Mark and his staff are among the best in the industry and we are so thankful he and his team could help provide a safe, working wood stove and chimney for our family!

Danny and Joseph came out on time and did an excellent job. Danny took the time to show me via camera what the problems were with my flue. His explanation was detailed but easily understandable. When they were finished the area was perfectly clean (unlike when the furnace man finished). I really appreciate Danny’s professionalism and expertise. I could not be more satisfied. I only wish all my service interaction were the same.
