I was visiting Portland from Atlanta for a Half Marathon this past weekend and a local recommended this place and they hook you up with a free beignet with your meal. It was a good recommendation because the biscuits and gravy was good I had was delightful and the service was friendly! I got my beignet, which was delish! In addition, because I saw by the cooks, they hooked me up with free sample or Portuguese fried rice as an appetizer before my meal! I highly recommend this place when visiting Portland!
I had Sunday brunch here. I was pleased that I only had a 20 minute wait on a Sunday lunch hour. The staff were very nice, the menu had lots of variety, the food was good, and I enjoyed the lively atmosphere. It's a perfect location to have lunch before a matinee at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall.
Such a solid breakfast spot, the food was really good and super comforting, exactly what you want when you go out for brunch. We got eggs benedict and a breakfast plate and everything was fresh and well made. The portions are great too, you definitely leave full. The atmosphere is a bit on the louder side, so maybe not the place if you want something super quiet, but still a really good vibe overall. Perfect for a casual brunch with friends or family
