I can't express how disappointed I am with this dealership when it comes to service/repairs. I've spent over $3000 in the past few months for repairs on my 2014 Volvo only to have the check engine light come back on weeks after each repair. So it's back to the shop for another "repair" and invoice. When calling to discuss, I was given a sad story about the age of my car and told they could not be responsible for that check engine light , since it could mean any number of things. One might question why as a guy on Long Island, I am going an hour and a half over the bridge to New Jersey to lease my new Volvos. He is the most easy going salesman I have ever experienced, never pushing me into a quick decision, or pushing "the sale" on me. One might ask, why am I driving almost an hour away to this Volvo dealer when there are two dealers much closer to my home. The answer is multi-faceted. I thought the dealership personnel were competent, apparently not. I buy cars every 5 to 10 years and don't expect to know all the rules and procedures. I do expect a dealership to know. My wife and I purchased a used car March 2026. We dealt with a salesman, a manager, and a business agent to complete the paperwork. At no time did anyone ask how the car should be titled. If there were a way to give fewer stars, I would. This dealership sold me a lemon and has refused to make things right. Items have disappeared from my vehicle during service appointments, including a tool kit and the car's charging cord. They called me once to let me know my car was ready, but when I got there, it had a flat tire. They promised to fix the tire same day, but an hour later, came out to tell me they didn't have a tire. Bought a low mileage 2023 XC60. We really only gave the tires a passing glance. Two of 21" the tires were in pretty bad shape, to point of dangerous. Had to buy two new ones to pass PA inspection.
HORRIBLE!!!!! Bought my car from Volvo of Manasquan 2 1/2 years ago. Paid approximately $45,000 for the car. Did all maintenance regularly. When I went in for a service check they said the bill would be $7,500!!! However, some of the work they recommended already had done 5,000 miles ago (eg. spark plugs) yet they are recommending changing them again!!
