RecommendedWow - planning a wedding during a pandemic is STRESSFUL to say the least. The Cheney Place and their amazing team was there to assist and comfort us every step of the way! Due to ever changing restrictions, we weren't able to host our wedding at the venue - however, they worked with us to transfer our fee to rental credit and helped us transform our outdoor tent into the most magical spot EVER! I would not recommend this place. When planning a wedding every couple hopes for it to go smoothly and for it to be a little piece of heaven, the Chaney place offers a glimpse into hell. Instead of working WITH their brides and grooms they work them for all their money. During this pandemic we often see people coming together to help one another through these stressful times but instead the Chaney Place is using this pandemic to take advantage of couples. This place is requiring the balance to be paid for a wedding that can't happen. Save your money and book somewhere else. This place will only burn you!
two good friends lost over $5,000 because they could not have their reception on the date scheduled. Don't book here. They refused any refunds
Terrible service from the owner. My fiancée and I are expected to pay in full for our wedding this November that the Cheney Place is currently unable to accommodate due to the Executive Order in place. Ben the Owner says “we would never tell anyone they can’t host their event here!” However that means we would be paying in full for ten, yes TEN people indoors. It was sad that they refused to refund any deposit when my daughter had to cancel her wedding due to Covid-19. Can't say as I would recommend working with these people.
