The first time i went, it was awesome. Sat right next to the river, good food, fast service. So i took my mom tonight, lt was like a completely different restaurant. First there was the umbrellas....it was 80 degrees out and pure sun with the slightest of breezes. Sitting across from my mom, we could not see eachother do to the umbrella. So we went to Chena's Alaskan Grill tonight. Service was so so and very slow. Food was okay to amazing!! We arrived without reservation and was told 20 minutes and it was 35 but that's on us. We were seated and greeted in an appropriate amount of time by Peg, our server. She took our drink order, it took 3 trips and 30 minutes to get our drinks there to our table. We have been celebrating as many of the family holidays as we can at Chena's for a couple of years. The food is STELLAR and the menu is varied enough that no matter your mood, SOMETHING is going to be right for you. It gets packed and super busy because the food is amazing, and excellent fresh food in the quantities Chena's prepares every night takes time. IT'S WORTH IT. Short of the story! I had to walk! I waited 1 hour to get a table. After 15 minutes, the server finally came, but then after another 10 she acknowledged I needed my bread to start. Another 10 it still didn't come. I wasn't going to pay top dollar for this. I walked down to Carl's Jr. and got a hamburger. Also, it took about 20 minutes to get attention at the bar while I waited for a table. When I finally got my gin and tonic it was mixed with club soda.
