If I could give this place negative stars, I would. This is one of the most damaging and unethical medical experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I declined medication-based treatment, the dynamic changed completely. I felt pressured, unheard, and dismissed. Feel heard, Jimmy Smith actually sat and asked questions and answered them. Didn’t just throw a script at me and kick me out the door like most others do. I highly recommend.
This one star is not for Lake Behavioral as a whole. I’ve spoken with many employees across different departments and have always been treated with respect and understanding. This rating is strictly for APRN Jimmy Smith. My experience with him was extremely disappointing. He was rude, dismissive, and showed no genuine interest in what was actually best for my mental or physical health. Jimmy Smith has been a life saver. He truly cares about his patients and I am thankful for finding him.
Terrible organization, they get a one because there isn’t a zero, which is the amount that they helped us. We waited the appropriate amount of time and the counselor cancelled on us the morning of due to “not being able to take family cases anymore”. After complaining about that and asking for a new counselor, they gave us one that was worthless. Would NOT recommend them at all.
