There’s a truth to why this restaurant has landed on multiple lists as the place to go in OKC and OK as a whole. The food and service were outstanding. The chicken fried steak with jalapeño cream gravy is stupid awesome.

Fantastic Food! So- why 3 Stars? I’ve been four times with reservations and was seated at the same rickety table in the walkway to the kitchen. You know the one. Bad luck? Other reason? Not worth the bad atmosphere/seating.
Cheever’s is one of my favorite restaurants. We had a reservation for 6:15 on Mother’s Day and didn’t get seated until 6:45. It seemed like they overbooked which was very disappointing. The food and service were very good as usual.
Typically eating out on Mother's Day can be a nightmare, but we had a great meal today. The server & cook were able to adapt the menu to meet our dietary needs. Instead of having fried chicken they served me a large portabella mushroom-- it was very tasty. I am looking forward to returning in the future.
RecommendedService was excellent. Chicken dish was over cooked and tough - sent back and replacement the same. It’s was a very meager serving for $19, thin slice and hard to cut even with a steak knife. The other entrees were excellent! We love Cheevers but this was a disappointing experience. We will go back, but avoid the chicken entrees. (Tortilla soup was excellent!)
Lunch at Cheevers has been fabulous but dinner was a bit of a let down. � Strudel was warm and yummy cup of tortillia soup not hot.....let down.....no one checked until after I finished. Not what I would have expected.
