Food Poisoning My fellow teachers an I often ate at Checkerboards. However, last week I got scombroid poisoning from a piece of fish. If you are unfamiliar with this type of food poisoning, it looks like an alergic reaction. My school nurse administered an epi-pen and called 911. Checkerboards Pizza Restaurant & Bar is The Middle of the Line We have eaten there a handfull of times. Good food, OK service, Decent atmosphere... If your looking for something to grab quick its a great place for that..
Checkerboards Pizza Restaurant & Bar is just ok I really feel this place is just ok. We've been a couple times and I wasn't impressed. If you go at peak hours it can be loud, and off peak hours service can be slow.
