At 62 I have experienced the worst haircut ever by Shay (a master stylist apparently). My pixie cut is more of a standard mullet cut...uneven, poorly shaped, no thought or time taken,apparently the front of house was more important and consuming than a proper cut. I would recommend Idyll if you would like an excellent cut and time spent on you. I would avoid Shay .... and any colour David thinks might be better than what you wanted.
I was thinking about not writing a review but i am deeply sad about my hair. I went to this salon hoping for help, instead i came home with a choppy hair cut, and i cannot fit it into a pony tail due to the layers they attempted to give me. I will give credit to the manager who was very kind and understanding at the front desk when i went back to ask for a refund. However, i feel like i should write this post to let others know how my experience went.
I tried to deal with customer service before leaving this review but they were also awful. I came here for a service last week, everything started off okay. When it came time to bleach, I told her it burned and she said it was normal. What isn’t normal is the chemical burns I ended up leaving with. I have scabs all over my scalp and it burned the entire rest of the day. Not to mention, it isn’t even what I asked for! So sad and disappointed with the service today. My family has been coming here for years and we’ve always had great experiences — except with one stylist (Idyll), whom we’ve had repeated bad experiences with. Because of this, I specifically avoided booking with her (Idyll) and chose someone else online. Due to bad weather, the salon called shortly before the appointment today and said they needed to switch stylists. I asked who it would be and was told David, which I agreed to.
