My Mom has been at the Chatham Hills facility since August. It was extremely difficult to accept the fact that we might not be able to provide the proper care of Mom at home and to ensure her safety and to avoid falls. The care at Chatham Hill Subacute Rehab was outstanding. I could not have asked for a better facility for my husband who was admitted as a paraplegic and was completely dependent upon others for his care. He was treated with kindness and dignity always. His medical needs were met and medications were dispensed quickly and efficiently to keep him as pain free as possible throughout the day and night. I was never so disgusted with patient care in all my life. I'm a nurse and how these patients were treated was inhumane. For example a patient asked to go to the bathroom and it was 2 hours before someone attended to her. The comment was " she has a diaper" how humiliating. Also patents were not getting meds on time including my family member. Patents would wait until their meal was cold and may not even get fed. The nursing staff were not gentle with the patients yelling and screaming at them to sit down instead of speaking... read more
