We have always wanted to stay here and decided to take a last minute road trip and ended up booking one night. Upon arrival it took our breath away how gorgeous everything was. Since we were on a last minute road trip both my husband and I were in athletic clothes. Upon pulling up to unload our car the attendants were all conversing among themselves and chose to ignore us. This is an absolutely beautiful hotel! Comfortable spacious rooms, good restaurant and cozy library bar with nice fireplace. Very friendly staff from valet to housekeeper. Get a room with a lake view if you want to see some magnificent sunsets. Definitely a do over!
Christmas buffet was delicious. Service was great. The setting and atmosphere was very relaxed . No one hurrying us to get finished.
This was our 4th time staying at this hotel and second time at Christmas, it was phenomenal from check in to check out and we can't wait to stay again! :) We were sad to not see Philip at the door but the other gentlemen were attentive and kind. The front desk staff was welcoming and informative and treated us as full paying guests even though we were redeeming a Groupon (means a lot to me as I have not had that at other hotels I've booked).
