The hotel was very nice as usual. Our king suite room overlooking the lake and pool was beautiful. However, the meals we had in the hotel were poor to say the very least. We all ordered the ribeye steaks for dinner. I've had better at Ponderosa. We had the caprese salad with chicken for lunch. The greens, tomatoes and dressing were fair but, the chicken breast was over cooked and dried out.
Staff is very friendly....rooms are beautiful and huge. View is gorgeous, pools and other amenities are clean and safe. The wait staff is wonderful and knowledgeable. The front desk is extremely accommodating and understanding. Quick, efficient. Room service was lovely. If I had to say ANYTHING as a critique....no mini fridge or microwave in the rooms to eat our delicious leftovers from the chateau grille....which was amazing. We will be back for sure!
We boated over yesterday afternoon to eat in the larger restaurant but it was already closed until dinner. We decided to eat at the smaller restaurant. I'm glad that we did. The food was exceptional as well as the waitstaff. We had a very beautiful, satisfying meal with a view of the flowing stream with the various fish in it. The only disappointment was the dessert that we ordered. Although it was very good we thought that it was on the skimpy side for the price.
