Great Getaway Spot The Chateau Elan winery is located only about 30 minutes outside of Atlanta. A quick drive that takes you away from the fast pace of the city and delivers you to a calm and beautiful vineyard that evokes European wineries. The winery is open daily and available for tours. A World Unto Itself Just 40 minutes north of Atlanta in the Georgia foothills, Chateau Elan is a world unto itself. My husband and I spent a weekend there recently when we needed some time away. Located on 3,500 acres, this is a regal resort. The Inn is designed to look a a 16th century style French Chateau and the staff all treated us as though we were royalty. There are tours and tastings of the working, commercial winery. We found the tour very interesting. While my husband played some golf Saturday afternoon, I enjoyed a... read more
FABULOUS Chateau Elan is such a fantastic place for a weekend away and is the perfect place to getaway and revitalize. The service is impeccable, the staff very attentive and the rooms immaculate. There were a few onsite activities to participate in, but my favorite is the spa. I have heard that the golf courses are amazing too.
Lovely Winery, Golf & Resort! I attended a wedding at Chateau Elan and it was a very elegant spot for it. Coming from Atlanta, it was close enough but still felt like a nice little vacation out of the city. We were able to get rooms here and everything was very pleasant. The wedding and reception were both held here and the boys got to play golf as well so everyone was happy! Overall, this is a romantic spot to get married or if you want to get away from it all for a weekend.
