This gorgeous restaurant, located in the Tower of the Americas, was so fun! It was one for the memory books for sure. Seeing San Antonio from those heights on a beautiful day was something I would definitely recommend for any special occasion! From the glass elevator ride, to the 360 rotation of the restaurant every 34 minutes. It was worth the slightly higher-than-your-ususl dinner prices .

Rediculously Overpriced – I went to lunch with my 6 year old 2 days ago. No lunch menu available, the kids chicken tenders with fries was $12.99 plus $1.95 for a kid drink, I got the "special" which was not on th menu and was SHOCKED when I saw the bill. $30.99 for a piece of fish on some rice. Most of the enrees were $24-26 so I ASSUMED the special would be comparable. With $4.95 for iced tea and $6 for parking and tip it cost me $70 for lunch with my 6 yr old. I'm so mad I wrote a letter to the manager.

Not as good as expected – I was surprised to see such a limited menu with one meat, fish, chicken, porkchop item, except for a steak or prime rib choice. The prime rib was OK, but just warm and the roasted potatoes were crunchy(undone), so I asked for mashed. The service was adequate but the waiter looked like he would rather have been somewhere else. For the prices charged, I was surprised that there was no dress code. Next time I think we'll just go to the observation tower and then get a steak somewhere else.

Below Average Food for Lunch – We loved the food and service at Silo where chef Mark Bliss hung his hat for many years. We just tried the Tower for lunch and I have to say it's not on par. I had tortilla soup served lukewarm that tasted like tomato sauce and chopped onions. The croutons in the caesar salad weren't crisp either. My daughter had cheese pizza. The crust was bland and not crisp and the cheese barely covered the sauce. And paying $7 to park on top of that was hard to swallow.

Dine on traditional American cuisine while enjoying the amazing 360-degree view. – The Scene The Tower of the Americas offers a dining experience as delightful as the extraordinary view. A beacon for well-heeled tourists, it avoids the over-the-top fiesta spirit of other tourist stops and instead focuses on a simple gourmet menu and quality service. The restaurant's 360-degree rotation slowly reveals a gorgeous view of San Antonio. The Food The elevated prices are more for the Tower's sky-high view than its upper-level cuisi... read more

Only Once – Only once is how often you should go here. Just remember we are talking about a place that is run by the same group that runs Jims. In fact I think the food is the same as Jims, only more expensive. Oh, and don't take to long in the restroom, you may have trouble finding your table when you get out.

Overrated Jim's – It's Jim's after all people...The food is mediocre at best, and not worth the price. Service staff could use some training as well. Any critic will give rave reviews to a free meal.
