Charlies is the best! The food is awesome! ! Charlies is so busy,there is always eating there through out the week, PACKED!! Such a nice atmosphere, in and outside! The staff work hard for us to have a pleasant time. And if I would have to wait a hour? ?, for food, it would be WORTH IT! ! As I stated ; the best! (PRIME RIB) #!! Worth every succulent taste! 1st, I’ve been going to Charlie’s for 20 years or more. The food is always good. Great prime rib and walleye. The service is hit or miss but they are always nice. But..... the remodel is horrible. Closed for months and made it worse. Bar area now seems more like a cafe or diner. They should have walled off the dining room and put high tables in the bar and left the shuffleboard table right where it was. I’ll continue to come for food but won’t be just stopping by for cocktails. Too bad and disappointing.

Today is my husbands and my anniversary. We believe in shopping local and supporting our local business owners. We started off our anniversary dinner at a different restaurant in Walker, our food was so terrible and the service was terrible, we decided to pay our tab and head to Charlie's! Standard food that I could make from home. Come on if you are having a re-opening you would have the proper staff that could handle the customer. You may get a relief from the locals but come on over all meal from a roach coach would have been better.
