Used to be great when Mike owned it but it's gone way down with the new owner. One of my favorites used to be home made corned beef hash. Today's version was paper thin corned beef (i.e. like Buddig) sliced and plopped on top of hash browns. Bacon was super chewy. Asked to have crisp bacon and they deep fried it. So hard you couldn't even chew it. Shouldn't change things when you used to have a winner. Hard pass.
This place is a tourist attraction and somewhere the locals go for good food and friendly service. Ever since new ownership took over, this restaurant has gone downhill. The friendly faces are gone and the food is not what it used to be. When you’re known for your food, and you downgrade to save money, you’re going to lose customers. If it is not broke, don’t try to fix it. Now, it’s broke.
