My friend is an actual chef, classically trained and has spent a year in Italy. We shared the seafood risotto and the special: a blackened Chilean sea bass on mushroom risotto. Oh my God. Neither of us expected this to be as unbelievably good as it was! The seafood risotto was the perfect texture and the shaved Parmesan gave the occasional pop of extra flavor. Had a wonderful experience. Karen S. took great care of us. We weren’t in a hurry and she didn’t make us feel rushed even though the restaurant was busy. Drinks and food were great! I saw a few reviews talked about it smelling like cigarette smoke. We really didn’t notice it.

I took my wife to Charlie Gitto’s at Hollywood Casino to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The evening was a disaster from start to finish. As we approached the restaurant all we could smell a heavy stench of cigarette smoke from the casino. The inside of the restaurant is filled with smell of the cigarette smoke and it impacted my sinuses very badly. Food was extremely overpriced for the quality. We had the 14oz Ribeye for $68 and couldn’t even eat half of it because it was overcooked and mostly gristle. We also had the margarita pizza, which did have good flavor but came out all mushy and served on a plastic plate. We will not be going back.
