My stomach decided I needed to spend half a day in the worst hospital around. Im a hard stick and they usually have to call I've therapy and use an ultrasound machine to find a vein, which they did but the 2 nurses that were there weren't very good at it and wouldn't listen to me when I told them where previous nurses had found a good one before AFTER THEY ASKED ME!! So they half way got an IV in my arm. Which ended up failing and leaked 3/4 of a bag of fluids and CT contrast into my arm NOT THE IV. Luckily I didn't have any... read more

I had never heard of this facility until my father experienced kidney/heart failure and needed to be near his doctors in Charleston but had no beds at CAMC. He was ambulanced from Plateau Medical Center to this hospital as a second resort. When I first saw the size of this small, tiny hospital, I thought to myself that this would be awful for him and our family, but upon admission, you knew you were in a different kind of place.
