well I came to visit a friend and in the office was a supposed security guard who had a loaded pistol out on the desk in plain view. very disturbing to say the least. having a pistol in plain view like some gangster in a movie. this place should be shut down a whole bottom section of empty like dungeon rooms with sounds of women and children calling for help. the law enforcement needs to shut this place down immediately

To be clear, the neighborhood itself is noisy - both due to construction and the random screaming people on the street, it'll even continue later into the night due to being relatively near a bunch of bars. If that's a dealbreaker, be aware of it up front. There's graffiti, there are homeless folks all over, including in the halls during colder months, and you might find that the back entrance has had the latch taped over for easy access from time to time. I lived there for 6 months and it was absolutely not a good experience. DO NOT rent from them unless you're a fan of drugs, trash, and enjoy the crackheads in the extremely dirty alley. There were even people using (hard) drugs INSIDE the building. I also heard several instances of domestic violence in the apartment above mine. Overall, very old sketchy building, heating often doesn't work, and maintenance requests are NOT acted upon in a timely manner. Do better.
