Great accountant Art is an outstanding accountant. My wife and I have a complicated return including two state returns. Art not only did an outstanding job on my return, but took the time to answer all of our questions and show us how the information we gave him fit into the final return. He has a good financial background in addition to accounting and helped us plan our 2010 estimated payments - it had some challenges too. Since both Art Silverman and I have the same first name, I am another Art who is a client of his.
This guy is a fraud Mister Art Silverman and his accounting firm (now located in Bannockburn, IL) and working at Goldberg Mechales Charneske & Schiffman, Ltd is a fraud. He make mis-representations to the IRS and Illinois Dept of Revenue. If you plan to use him or the firm be extra cautious. Someone should report him to the accounting licensing board or professional regulations department of the state.
