Overall, the Ophthalmology Dept has their act together: prompt, courteous, efficient service. Dr. Stockwell specifically is thorough and explains his findings in an easily understandable manner. He will be my choice for my eye exams as long as he continues his practice.
We absolutely love Dr. McLaurin. She has taken the best care of my son since he was 3 days old and now he is 10. I could not recommend a better doctor. She is informative, takes time to get to know you, and is always there when you need her.
Dr. Phy is an outstanding doctor that is through and patient. He is very knowledgeable and a true professional.
Dr. Stockwell is friendly and very knowledgeable. He made me feel as if I was his only patient. I did not feel rushed and he was patient as we progressed through the different lenses looking for the best vision. He did not get frustrated when we had to try multiple contact lenses.
Dr. Freedman is very through. I like the atmosphere at the 82nd Street office. Very quick and friendly.

His compassion is obvious as he actually listens and carefully explains treatment options. He has gone above and beyond to address my concerns and provide excellent care. He has even prayed for me and that meant so much to me. He is a wonderful example of excellence in care. Treatment outcomes have been excellent. His staff reflect his high standards and professionalism. I would definitely recommend Dr. Freedman to others.
