I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience having minimally invasive lumbar fusion surgery with Dr. Branch. After a year of severe chronic pain and inability to walk more than a half block without pain I am now pain free. My wife had major back surgery. The neurosurgeon made a major mistake and she had to go into emergency surgery two days later. She is now in chronic pain. I asked Dr. Branch to provide a second opinion and he refused. In fact he had the nerve to refer my wife back to the neurosurgeon who did the damage. What sense does that make??? Except that the doctor may have put patient care second to having the back of a colleague. If true, this is disgusting.

I am a physician and made an appointment to see Dr Branch for a previously diagnosed L4/L5 foramen stenosis. I was sent to his PA who filters who actually sees Dr Branch as Dr Branch is retiring soon and hand picks who he will and will not see. I apparently had been filtered out BEFORE I saw the PA. I feel that I should have been told about the retirement plans so I could have seen someone else who is treating the full gamet of neurosurgical problems, not just those used for teaching residents.
