A Havertown native, Dr. Charles J. Odgers initial interest in orthopaedics developed as a result of a knee injury sustained while playing football his junior year at Haverford High School. An eagerness to pursue the field of orthopaedic surgery led him to a challenging premed program at Ursinus College where he graduated cum laude with Academic All-American honors. He was later inducted into the Ursinus College Hall of Fame for his accomplishments in both football and wrestling. Dr. Odgers received his medical degree from Te... read more

Dr Odgers released my wifes frozen shoulder very successfully. He did the surgery in an excellent manner. So was his follow up. I recently sought him out to diagnose and treat my knee problem. He chose to go a very conservative route. I agree 100% with his strategy. I have the utmost faith in his abilities. His reputation proceeds him. I'm pleased to have him around and trust his assessment.
Long wait periods in office with no regards to patients valuable time. On three different cubists I waited over 1 hour to be seen.
Dr. Odgers spent a lot of time with me to explain my condition. He is very knowledgeable and gave me the time I needed to understand what was going on. I will be back to see him again.
Horrible..as a result of his negligence I had to have two surgeries on my wrist. My right hand is forever compromised. I can barely write, do any of my artistic hobbies, or lift pots for cooking. I am right handed, and his negligence ruined normal use of my hand.
Dr. Odgers performed elbow surgery for me and I am very satisfied. In several office visits, I never waited more than a few minutes to be called in. The waiting room was always crowded, but they kept moving people in and everything seemed well organized. Dr. Odgers saw me immediately after my injury and scheduled my surgery just a few days after. Like a lot of surgeons, he can be pretty "all business," but he always answered my questions. He did an excellent job on my surgery, and in follow-up appointments made sure that eve... read more
Very upset because he seemed not to care last time. Waited 2.3 hours the first visit. Waited over an hour on the second visit. He did not seem to listen or care about my problem. I felt like he was rushed and he was rude on the third visit after I had waited for over an hour again. He did give me a cortisone shot on the second visit. I will go back to him for another cortisone shot because the first one was well done. Hopefully he will be nicer.
Dr. Odgers performed surgery on my right shoulder, I was in pain over one year before the surgery. After the surgery and physical therapy I recovered at 100 %. It has been 3 years and I am still fine. Thank you Dr. Odgers.
I had a very complex problem, turns out it is very rare, only one surgeon in US can fix it. I saw many doctors searching for answers and was told my pain was not real etc. Dr Odgers was excellent. He was honest and told me he had not seen this before and he did not know what it was, but told me what my next step should be (nerve testing) and that did lead me to my solution (3 surgeons later). Many doctors I saw beforehand were too arrogant to say they did not know, instead they said I was making it up. Dr Odgers never did th... read more
