Possibly the most terrible experience I’ve ever had with a mental health professional. She was very critical and dismissive of my need for medication that I’ve taken for more than a decade because I didn’t exhibit enough frequent severe symptoms (which she read from a list to me) while somehow failing to understand that I don’t have those frequent severe symptoms *because* of the medication.
