We had reserved two nights at the Omni Hotel Downtown Los Angeles - an Internet special. We'd stayed there before, so it wasn't anything exciting, just convenient. However, I was shocked at the $30/night valet parking fee, which certainly ate up the Internet special. So, we checked out the next day and proceeded to find another place. I searched endlessly for a safe, clean motel to fit the needs of visiting relatives from out of the country. This place met all my (and their) needs! $85 for a King bed over a July weekend. Free wi-fi AND parking! Also, free breakfast including waffles, bagels and coffee. The staff was very pleasant, courteous, and welcoming. The motel is also within 2 miles of the Americana, Porto's, Griffith Observatory (4 miles) and several freeways. I really like the area and place since it near the freeway and convenient for food/gas/rest. I would definitely come back again since I had a good room and the experiences of my night was really restful.

Rooms are spacious and there is a good size mini fridge and large flat screen TV. Great value and does not feel cheap.

This review will be lengthy because I went through EVERY inch of our room to make sure it was up to my standard and right for our new family. Seeing as my one year old daughter was going to crawl around on the floor and sleep in the bed, I had to make sure everything was just right. My husband and I live in the High Desert of California, but we needed a good place to stay one night as we were going from Long Beach to LA (Aquarium to the Zoo), to celebrate our daughters first birthday. I recently stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Los Angeles. Not too far a commute from the city and back. Really enjoyed coming back to clean sheets and towels everyday. Area seemed safe and definitely didn't fear for my car's security. Me and my boyfriend even walked around the area past 9pm with no incidents. What really made me glad I stayed here was the friendly & accommodating staff. The owner even recognized me and my boyfriend as we were coming back from the city one day and greeted us. The man at the front greeted us warmly (despite the fact we did not get there until 9:00 pm) and was quick to get us settled. The room was clean and larger than I expected. It had basic amenities, and a large TV that, unfortunately, did not have clear reception. The cleaning staff did a great job of replenishing the amenities and I did not have them bother me while I was still in the room (like other maids have before.)
