This place does an amazing job! Food was fantastic with a lot of great options. I am only sorry we JUST found out they serve brunch. :( The only negative was that Strathallan does little to no advertising for this service. Your chefs are way TOO good not to advertise and allow people to enjoy what they have to offer!!!
Took a group for dinner. Service was very good...a waiter we actually had a couple times before. Appetizers, Steak, Sides, and Desserts here were very good. Lamb unfortunately was very fatty with scant meat, and oddly seasoned, spartan presentation. Almost seemed greasy. For $41 it should be better, much better. Stick with steaks here and you will be happy.
Char can always be counted on for excellent food and service. But it’s a steak house. So, stick with the beef and don’t get distracted by other offerings.

We had a fabulous dinner at Char. Oysters were delicious! Filet Mignon was tender enough to cut with a fork, cooked to perfection, and delectable with the blue cheese and bacon sauce! The add-on of crab was a great choice - the crab was scrumptious! ! Cabernet was also perfect!We let them know we were celebrating my birthday and our anniversary.
