We went to celebrate a friends birthday and had reservations for 12 people. First we weren't given menus right away and then when we did finally get them, we only got 6 for a table of 12. Hostess informed us they were out of menus. Service was very slow and we waited way to long for drink refills and to actually place orders. Waitress told us about the specials, orders were placed only to find out they were out of a regular menu item and one of the specials we were just told about. Bread? Were we supposed to get bread? Food is excellent. Service is professional and right up there with the best restaurants.
I thought it was amazing before but the new chef has taken Chappell's to new heights.
Love every bit of food on our plates...crab cakes, lake perch, walleye, shrimp, veg, Salad, bread, got to dessert my hubby said stop I wouldn't eat it.... Because he didn't want to share yum. Great eats! Great date atmospere!
I had filet mignon was delicious he had the Mahi Mahi and for me not being into fish that fish was delish! Environment was fantastic very friendly staff
Goat Cheese Brushetta is to die for. Got the combo that included shrimp, crab cake and almond Walleye. It came with two (2) shrimp, 3 small walleye fillets, and a small crab cake, all for the bargain price of 24.99. It was all very good, but really, only two (2) shrimp? They set us at the front of the restaurant, we were the only people there the entire time. Everyone else who came in after us was sat in the back part so I felt like our waitress forgot about us. It was odd, maybe my husband smelled funny?
