Management does not protect or stand up for its residents. They are allowing racists remarks to be made towards black minors (my little brother, cousin, & godbrother). I brought these concerns to managements attention and was told the person involved apologized so nothing will be done. He did not apologize to my family at any capacity and when initially attempting to have a conversation I was yelled at and had his door slammed in my face. Looks nice at first—but absolutely awful to live in. When you first visit, the complex seems aesthetically appealing—but don’t be fooled. There was mold growing behind the laundry area, and management didn’t seem to care when I reported it. The surrounding area is unsafe, with homeless individuals defecating on the sidewalks, making it difficult—and disturbing—to get to your car or even sleep at night. Review: I have lived here for a year and the building is nice but the property management needs a change, it’s impossible to communicate effectively with them. I have been reaching out for a while about renewing my lease at the advertised rate on the website, I was told they would look into it, they never got back to me. I reached out again with a similar outcome, I reached out a third time and was finally told that the advertised rate had just then been increased and they could do the least at the increased rate. Beautiful brand new building, outstanding manager Alex who is always available, genuinely kind and on top of any issues, backed up by Edward who is also top notch. You can be as social as you want at the social club, gym, lovely pool and parties with delicious catering. This location and most of Pt. Loma is chilled by ocean breezes during the hottest weather - this alone makes it preferable to anything east of I-5 which is HOT in summer!
