We have been taking our cars to Chapman Auto Repair for many years. Once we double checked one of his estimates by taking the car to another auto repair and were told the exact same thing and given a similar estimate. The owner has always been honest with us and done repairs at reasonable prices. He never has begun work on our vehicles until we give him the OK, first. We have always been pleased with the results.

This review is long overdue, but some time ago, smoke started to come out from under the hood of my car as I was driving. I had no idea what was wrong or what to expect in terms of repairs. I parked my car on a random street and a passerby recommended that I take my car around the corner to Chapman Auto, and I'm so glad he did! Cowan (the owner?) attended to my car right away. Came here for a DMV Smog check with a Pennysavers coupon for $25, paid about $36 total including certification fees, etc. Quick and friendly. No waiting area really but I would come back here for a SMOG check.

It's a small repair shop with just the manager working it seems. Prices are fair and the repairs are always done quickly and accurately. Had my starter replaced, light, oil changed, brakes done, tires rotated and belt replaced over time. Good service, and he also gives you maintenance tips on how to keep your car running.

Cowan Yip is a great person and very helpful. This man will take the opportunity to explain everything and assist you with repairs if your car fails the regular or Star smog check. I will come here again! They provide fast, friendly service! I don't know a lot about cars but Cowan helped me understand in a very simple way. Place is hidden but google maps will help you locate. ALL COLLEGE STUDENTS IN AREA SHOULD COME HERE!!!! And everyone else!

Great shop. I'm a mechanic and come here often for tires and parts. The shop isn't the nicest but the employees are nice and I've sent friends here over the years with zero complaints
