RIP OFF, THEY LIE – I have never seen anything like what these people charge. 4 spark plugs, they tried to charge me $125.. timing belt 1500.. I had the spark plugs done in Pittsboro for 50 and a timing belt put on for 650. I have a friend who recently went here before she bought a car thinking she could trust that they would tell her everything wrong before she bought. If money isn't a concern. Friendly and courteous, but very expensive! For an oil change, repair a wire, resurface rear brake rotors and rear brake pads? $505.00
Don't go here for emissions inspections!!! – They charged me for extra things in my car that were fine. Not the best place for emissions inspections!
Chapel Hill Tire is just great I love to friendly employees and the cheerful atmosphere. They also have done a very good job keeping my SUV running top notch. I love the reminders they send in the mail and most have $5.00 off coupon with it. Shuttle van is a life saver.
Rip off! – I am pretty upset about the scam Chapel Hill Tire attempted to run on me when I brought my car in for a new timing belt and water pump (preventative maintenance at 120,000). I had emailed them in advance for a quote on the timing belt - around $380 (which I knew sounded pretty low). When I dropped the car off I had a feeling the price was going to sky rocket - I got a call 2 hours later with a quote of $902 with the water pump included! Great Tires This is a great place to get new tires for your car. They were quick and pretty reasonably priced. They were able to repair one tires without having to replace the tire. I feel that they are very honest and reliable people. I would recommend taking your car to this store for tires.
Amazing service The first time I used Chapel Hill Tire was because my car broke down in the parking lot of the grocery store next door. I called and asked if they could tow it, but they didn't have a tow truck. Instead they pushed my car across the parking lot. In a matter of hours they fixed it, replacing 2 belts for only $85 dollars. Since then I have been a loyal customer.
