We booked a room last minute because our campsite nearby was taken by another person, and we arrive there late at night. The reservation was accepted online instantly, payment made, but once we arrived to the hotel, nobody was there to give us our keys (around 11:30pm). The available number to call answered proposing a room about 1hour away from Chantico Inn after we had already been struggling to find a place to sleep for hours. If you're looking for a clean place, reasonably priced in this area, look no further! My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night (we immediately wished we could extend it after we arrived hahah), and it was lovely. Karina (I hope I'm spelling it right) was EXCELLENT, and greeted us with a friendly, genuine warmth. She had our registration paperwork ready to go, engaged us in light conversation, and answered all our questions about the area and the hotel without hesitation. The room had a musty aroma, hazy lighting, dusty furniture (headboard, lamp, dresser), and broken bed (in suit #2). We ended up requesting suit #7 bed because it had better lighting and the bed was stable. Overall, the bed very clean and comfortable. The toilet, tub, and sink were very clean. I must say that the young lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. We needed more blankets and brought us cozy clean blankets.

Didn’t expect the lodging to be so nice for the price that we paid. It was a last-minute decision for lodging a day or two before, and we were pleasantly surprised with this location being so close to the downtown area. I have a disability, yet, I was able to walk to the downtown rather easily. The staff that I encountered were all pleasant and very welcoming. Hope to stay at this location at some point in the future!

If there was a choice, it would be less than 1 star. We have placed guests here for too many years to count, no exaggeration, but well over 100. No Longer! In the beginning, it was a great place, less than a mile from our home and office, so ideal for personal friends, family, and business associates. 5 years ago, it started the downhill slide and fast... they are crooks, thieves, horrible, untrained people, and impossibly unprofessional.
