Patient past 33 years. Only doctor who correctly diagnosed and cured my mysterious heart problem. No meds past several years. His second opinions and professionalism "rescued" other family members. A dedicated and caring person to his patients.
My husband and I have been going to Dr. Chandra for many years.. My husbands health was not that good when we started there and he has done wonders for him.. We are 86 and 87 years old and both enjoy life mainly due to Dr. Chandra's care. I have recommended him to many of our friends and will continue to do so.
When my blood pressure was out of control he didn't have me on any blood pressure medications except Clonidine which he said to take if it was over 180 and he told me to go to the emergency room if it was over 200. That's ALL. No one ever answered the phone. You were asked to leave a message which they may or may not return. Most inefficient office I have ever seen.
7 days a week, even holidays, When I was an emergency several times, Dr. Chandra was there in amazing time! When my mother was an emergency, he was there! Have heard same thing from several people. Dr. Chandra actually returns patients calls himself.
Granted there are long waiting times (sometimes) But what would you expect from the best cardiologist He take time with each patient to make sure they totally understand his instructions does not push patients like an assembly line.
Very difficult to get return calls back on blood work for med change. Does not respond to faxed information for authorization. Very long wait in waiting room experienced over two hrs and didn't have lab results the same day ready for office visit to review results with patient and needed to reschedule appointment after waiting two hours.
My releasing dr. a few years ago when I was hospitalized for an electrolyte imbalance. As I was standing, fully dressed, ready to go, he placed a stethoscope to my chest, and after about 30 seconds pronounced I had severe heart blockage and urged me to make an appointment for the very next day with his office to undergo angioplasty.
