On July 16, 2026, I went to the St. Luke's Community ER with a swollen ankle that was too painful to walk on. The attending physician, Dr. Gurdeep S. Othee, ordered a blood test and said he would also order an ultrasound. After sitting in the examination room for over two hours, I approached Dr. Othee to ask about next steps. He said he was waiting on the ultrasound results — but I told him I hadn't had the test yet, which clearly surprised him. Beware, she will do testing then give you some generic answer oh if something changes call. She up and left her patients over money, so that should tell you where her heart is.
My 85-year-old mother was taken to this hospital because she was experiencing severe hip pain. We repeatedly informed the medical staff that she had recently undergone a hip replacement. My mother has panic disorder, and she ended up in the ER last night during the night shift over the weekend. I wish she could remember the doctor’s name because she said a female doctor came into the room, ripped the heart monitor leads off her chest with one hand, told her, “You’re fine, you can leave,” and then walked out. Twisted my knee wrong in the shower on July 3 causing flare up of a condition that had me in horrible pain. I never used crutches before but was trying to use them to get in the door. First the security guard came around and grabbed to offer me a wheelchair -was so nice. Then straight to admin who so nice and then to triage with nurse and PA to take a look and determine course of care. Kudos to Chandler Memorial! I'm flat on my back due to swelling in around the mid and lower spine all because I picked up an unwieldy box. It took 7 hours in the E.R. yesterday to do tests and run a cat scan, but the people at Chandler Regional on Frye rd and Dobson were AWESOME!! A few days of doing nothing are ahead of me but I thank GOD that it wasn't worse AND I thank GOD for the wonderful stuff of Chandler Regional Hospital!!
The Er is filled with employees on their cellphones, as is 3 West. The dont follow the Bakke case, at least Dr. Allen and Jill don't. They dont care. They really dont. Mary Ann who works in the ER and 3 west does not care. Kylie doesn't talk to you; your life doesn't matter there. Mine never did.
I visited Reston Hospital for a cut on my finger that required 3 stitches and an X-Ray. Total cost, nearly $8,000! I was charged almost $1,000 for a tetanus shot and another $443 to inject it. Over $1,400 for the very same shot you can get at CVS for $88. Had I known! The doctor upsold me and I was not wise enough to ask of the cost in advance.
