Only good for Oil Changes - Rip Off Artists! Save yourself money, don't EVER use CHAMPLAIN VALLEY AUTO on Pine Street. RIP-OFF artists at the finest! Charged us over $500 to "fix problem" which they were sure it was, had car for two full days, got it home, problem not fixed. Now they say it is something else but not willing to refund money on what they claim was original problem. Trying to sell us on MORE repairs. Pretty expensive oil change that was! Glad we got oil changed, it was the only thing they did right! Filing BBB ... read more

Poor auto work I have used Champlain Valley Auto on and off for 5 yrs. I have stopped using them for anything major as they were over charging, and always coming up with issues resulting in hundreds of dollars everytime I went there. Most recently had a timing belt/water pump replaced. Ever since one of my other belts is loose and they forgot to tighten 2 bolts holding my engine in. Next I took my husbands car for tire change and they said I needed ball joints on the car before inspection. I brought his car to another garage... read more

Worst Stay away from this place and keep your 5 dollars. Went for an inspection and they failed me for a tiny crack on my tail light that is 2 cms big not even a hole, said there was antifreeze leaking yet my car isnt overheating and the coolant has been consistent, and expected me to pay 800$ to get everything fixed. You will save yourself a bunch just by going somewhere else and pay the full inspection price on the long run.

Happy to save $ I was pleased with the service I received, I was driven to work, called with a detailed diagnosis of the clunk in my SUV and the bill ended up being lower than they quoted! They have a super friendly staff and seemed very professional, no complaints from me, I will return.

fast and friendly I took a chance and was really pleased. I stopped in on a friday, they were obviously busy but the girl said they could fit me right in. My oil change was only $17.99 and they even checked my engine light for FREE, I certainly have no complaints on this place.

awesome place, awesome people, awesome prices i heard the advertisement on the radio for the really cheap state inspections, and having never been there before was a little bit skeptical of a shop with really cheap advertised prices. i went in for my inspection appointment and found a very clean and inviting showroom with nice comfortable leather couches ( i actually fell asleep on one while waiting for my car to be fixed ) and a big screen tv. the people were very friendly and informative. my car needed tie rods, struts and... read more

be smart about your car repairs Everyone who is complaining about being taken for parts you don't need should have asked to see the diagnosed part. every time i bring my car in they are happy to show me the problem. I feel the counter people are very personable and it is nice to go to an auto shop that employees women as their service writers. That makes me feel better as a woman, they don't look down on you or try to take you for a ride.

DONT GO HERE Don't EVER go here. This place is a joke. I just had them fix my ebrake and looked under my car a few days later and the brake cables they had just installed were hanging and touching the ground. I brought my car to a family member who has an automotive business and they said CVA had done a horrible, ridiculous job and my car really wasn't even safe to be driving like that. Apparently all the other automotive shops have all heard horrible things about this place also, I wish I had asked around before I decided t... read more

Horrible! I only wish I could rate this business with 0 stars. I took my car there for a simple break job and an estimate on the exhaust. Not only was the estimate $300 more than what I ultimately paid for the exhaust work (which came with a lifetime warranty from the shop I chose), the brakes needed to be fixed AND I found a half eaten piece of pizza under the hood when I went to put windshield washer fluid in it!
