I had L5-S1 microdiscectomy in Sept 2024 by a different surgeon. During that surgery, he accidentally nicked the dura, which led to ER visits several times during October 2024 for cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) leak headaches. If you've never had a CSF headache, drive a decking nail into your forehead multiple times and you'll be close. One month after discectomy, I underwent a durotomy surgery to repair the dura. Dr Chambers treated me for a compression fracture in my spine. She was caring, compassionate, professional and an excellent surgeon. She took time to listen to my concerns and address them. Her nurse practitioner was very god as well. I would highly recommend this brilliant surgeon to anyone. She is at the top of her field in what she does.
