This is the most defensive and argumentative doctor we've ever seen. He is ready to jump onto a question or comment with negative gusto the moment it leaves our mouth. Don't like this man, at all. He should have gone into a completely different field of work.
Having been a patient of Dr.Chalkos' for a number of years I wanted to share what a terrific, professional doctor he is. Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable-everything you want in a doctor. I must take exception to the negative review posted. Dr. Chalko is not a pill pusher. He deeply cares about his patients and their welfare. You will not find a better doctor anywhere. If you are new to town you will be highly pleased. If you are looking for the best doctor look no further.
Perhaps the worst physician I've ever encountered. This man wasn't interested in me as a patient much less as a human being. He was interested in prescribing meds. He runs a pill factory. Four patients every hour x eight hours in a work day x whatever he charges and you have the picture. He over-prescribed. After a month on his regimen I was so blurry I couldn't work. Literally. Also, and I don't know if she's still working for him, but his admin person at checkout was very impolite. She was all about control and power. When... read more
Great doc...not a long wait time in office. He listens to you and asks questions that are based on side effects.

They were boring and outdated Did this psychiatrist thoroughly explain the risks and benefits of your treatment? Yes, I felt informed when I left Did you feel judged or criticized by this psychiatrist? No, they were respectful and understanding Was this psychiatrist's staff friendly? Yes Has this psychiatrist ever cancelled your appointment on you last minute? Never, they are very reliable.
Dr. Chalko is an excellent psychiatrist. He is very available to his patients, and he truly does listen and asks helpful questions that allow the patients to figure things out for themselves. It has been awhile since I have seen him, as I have moved away, but I often recal the valuable techniques he subtly imparted to me to think on a higher level.
