My son was a patient of Dr. Chaitman from the age of 15 through 19. Despite my son's showing, what we learned later, were clear signs of Bipolar disorder type 2, including lack of ability to sleep, self-medicating, dangerous episodes of poor judgment, Dr. Chaitman completely misdiagnosed. My son went on to attempt suicide. This doctor may be ok for garden variety neurosis, but not for anything serious.
