I used to live in Puerto Rico and am nostalgic about the food -- tostones, rice and beans, chicharones, etc. But, since living in Texas, just haven't found Puerto Rican food. When I was in Austin, Dad took me and my sister here. Worth a try. This tasted so much like my childhood. If only I lived in Austin (but they say they are opening up one in Dallas!). While it doesn't look like much from the outside (or the inside), it is worth it!

Today I decided to stop in for my very first visit. Can I just say the food was Amazing?! Santiago recommended the brasen chicken & white rice dish. The chicken was so tender i was cutting it with a spoon. Santiago was so kind and personable. If you havent payed Chagos a visit,trust me when I say you will not regret it. Bravo Chagos for providing a wonderful atmosphere and delicious food to a first timer. And in the voice of Arnold Swarzanager: "l'll be back!"

Just had dinner at Chago’s and it was impeccable! The food was such a great representation of delicious Puerto Rican cuisine. If you’re in the Austin area I would highly recommend you dine here! I ordered the Mofongo relleno con Fricasé de Pollo (Braised Chicken) Aniversario, which brings the arroz con gandules y ensalada, and a Tres Leches for dessert. 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
