Dr. Gruber was extremely rude, condescending and cocky. I even told him at one point 'please stop being sarcastic with me'. He didn't listen to my complaints or previous diagnosis' from Dr. Kessler himself and took images of my hip when I went in for leg pain. Just an all around terrible doctor.
I took my mother in for sudden on-set knee pain. The staff was very friendly and they took her ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, the positives ended there. Dr. Gruber arrived and just as another review has stated, he was arrogant, condescending, no bedside manner, borderline rude and a poor listener. He was not respectful at all to my 87 year old mother. He did not introduce himself and within minutes was suggesting an 87 year old woman have knee replacement surgery. Dr. Gruber was very rude, unprofessional, and a poor listener. I brought my MRI in and without checking it, he told me that nothing was wrong with my knee. He goes on to say that he does not understand why I am describing all of this pain I am enduring and simultaneously using a cane. He says that I look fine to him. Afterwards, he ordered blood work to be done but never even looked at it. Two weeks later, I saw another knee doctor. The entire staff at both locations (Fayetteville & Newnan) were courteous and knowledgeable. Dr. Gruber provided excellent care throughout the entire process. He takes the time to explain procedures in detail and provide reassurance of a positive outcome. Furthermore, Dr. Gruber cares about his patients and it shows through his interactions. I highly recommend Dr. Gruber and the entire staff at Georgia Bone & Joint.
I had 2 fairly complex surgeries in one week. Dr. Kessler visited me after each and made sure I was ok. He and his staff were thorough and diligent throughout the process. My issues and pain were gone immediately following the surgery. My recovery was quick. I only needed pain meds for about 2 weeks following the surgery and used ibuprofen intermittently after that. Post-op appointments were thorough, efficient and informative. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my back care.

For my upcoming surgery I have quite a bit of anxiety for the obvious reasons but Dr Ballantyne exudes an air of calm, confidence, and knowledge that allows me to relax and mentally prepare for the procedure, thank you.
I've been suffering with lower back pain for years. I was seen by Dr. Chad Kessler. He performed an ALIF AND PLIF surgery at L3-L4 and L5. I knew the surgery was a success the instant I stood up and took my first few steps. All of the pain from the compressed nerves had disappeared.
