He just didn’t seem interested in helping me. I have a curved spine and arthritis in my back. He just said he could give me a shot for the pain.

Dr.Kessler and his team are fantastic ! My 86 year old dad had back surgery . Before his surgery , he had to use his cane and take pain medication . He is now healed and requires no cane and no pain medication .According to my father Dr. Kessler and his team are fantastic. We highly recommend !!!

After running Atlanta’s Peachtree Road Race, the largest 10K in the world, almost every year since 1996, I was unable to run or walk the race for the past two years due to back pain. Dr. Kessler performed back surgery, replacing a disc and installing hardware to fuse L4-5 at the beginning of January 2025, and I was able to walk the Peachtree Road Race on July 4, 2025, with no pain. I can now stand and walk without pain, thanks to the surgery Dr. Kessler performed.

Dr Kessler gave me the option of surgery vs PT and I opted for surgery because I could not put any weight on my right leg or stand up straight. It was affecting my quality of life and I was unable to work. Immediately after surgery I was able to stand up and bear weight without pain! He’s the best in the business!

Very concerned and caring doctor. Dr. Kessler is an amazing Surgeon, he and his staff have taken very good care of me. I recommend anyone who has back problems to reach out to him.

He didn’t even know my injury did not treat it either. I told him I thought he was missing something and he got angry with me. I told him that I thought maybe I should get a second opinion and he got even more angry. He literally raised his voice and yelled at me and then and told me that there was nothing wrong with me yet. I just walked across the room, squatted down and fell on the floor and had to have someone pick me up because my knee is so bad. Every time I had an appointment with Dr. Ballentine it was scheduled for 1... read more

Dr. Kessler is an extremely knowledgeable and caring doctor. He always takes time to answer any of my questions. He listens to my concerns and explains procedures in terms that I can understand. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.

Condescending, arrogant, insulting, didn’t listen or give any credence to anything that I said. I felt that, from the moment he stepped into the room, he was not interested in anything I had to say. He never looked at me or acted as if he was interested in my condition. I almost walked out in the middle of the appointment but stuck through to the end. His final words to me were “Well, you wanted a second opinion and now you have it.” I walked out so angry that I was almost in tears. I don’t believe I’ve ever been treated so ... read more

Dr. Gruber replaced both of my knee joints at the same time 10 years ago. My daily life improved. Over time my walking capabilities were restored. I was able to resume physical work demands including climbing, lifting and squatting; through physical therapy I obtained 140 degree flexibility in both knees. I had a productive life until retirement. At age 75 I am an avid ballroom dancer and manage a small farm. Dr. Gruber would not give me a handicapped parking permit saying, “You need to force yourself to walk; the farther awa... read more
