Great indian food, cheap price I have 3 words to remember when going tot Chaat Cafe at 3rd & Folsom - "Tandoori Chicken Sandwich". HEAVEN - incredibly delicious (what's not to like about a sandwich that uses naan as the bread and fantastic, moist chicken). It's substantial and cheap.
This place has some great tasting authentic Indian food but they lack any parking for their patrons, which makes them loose 2 points from the rating from me. It can be very hard to find parking outside the restaurant and even after you feed the hungry meter when you find the parking you have to worry about not running over the time limit. Also, the service is not up to par and can be really slow even with a few people in there. The service could be much better.
Gotta love consistently great food One of my favorite, favorite indian places. Their lunch special ($5) is always a great value, and the food is fresh and flavorful.
HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE, ATROCIOUS SHACK! – Please, Please don't come to this restaurant! It had horrible service, horrible food, and I was glad to get out of there! I ordered an entre from the menu and was served only one forth of the meal for some reason and the waiter ( the only one) did not seem to understand and after waiting for 20 minutes, i was server the remaining portion. Chaat Cafe is a great lunch spot in San Francisco This is a great indian lunch place. I eat here at least twice a week. They always have a $5 lunch special thats great and the rest of the menu is no let down either.
Solid choice for Indian food Chaat Cafe is a solid choice for Indian in the SOMA area.. Chicken Tikka Masala has just the right amount of spice... although their Mango Lassi could have been better...Their lunch specials are also worth a try
Decent and well-priced Indian lunch option Chaat Cafe is a good option for lunch in SOMA. Meals are reasonably priced and portions are generous. I had the Desi Chicken Wrap, which was very good. It was spicy, but not overwhelmingly so, and the chicken was tender.
Tandoori This is a well attended little Indian place and is a good choice for a quick lunch. The Tandoori pizzas, wraps and kabobs are tasty and well prepared.
Great custmer service – Good value for the money. Staff is polite and very helpfull. Menu is a bit small but adequate. Will try them again when short on time.Place was clean. Meals are decent
