My son has myotonic dystrophy and needed his gallbladder removed. Surgery is always a high risk. I feel like we won the lottery by being matched up with Dr Ceppa. Also the ICU nursing staff are top notch. After any hospital admission my son has not responded well but dr Ceppa and his staff used every precaution. My son has never been able to go straight home after a hospital stay - always needed a rehab facility to recoup but not this time. Surgery on Thursday and being sent home on Sunday. I need an infected mesh removed. Dr. Ceppa saw me, agreed, and now won’t schedule it. I don’t know why. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. I’m 65 and have had several surgeries. If you need anything done, go elsewhere. I’ll be checking in to an ER tomorrow to hopefully get some attention. Ceppa and staff do not care about their patients.
