I seriously can't believe your agency is refusing to reimburse me $17 for a coffee maker that I had to purchase to replace a broken unit. It was 6:30 AM Sunday morning. Would you really have driven over a replacement unit by 8 AM that same day (the coffee was finally done by 8 after purchasing, cleaning the pot, etc.)? After a long day on the road Saturday, all I wanted was a pot of MY coffee to enjoy on the deck of the house. Staff was friendly but was very disappointed and upset that no one mentioned that the house was listed for sale and that we would be asked to let people see the house while we were there. That was a big oversight and unprofessional. While that was a big deal, everything and everyone else was fine.
Couldn't check in until 5:00pm, then had the worst time getting into the house due to the terrible condition of the locks on the doors. One toilet seat was cracked and pinched when you used it- only toilet on the main floor, of course. House was not swept before we arrived and the floor was quite sandy. Two of the plastic chairs on the front porch had cracked rockers and made loud noises when used. No dish towels at all. Did just OK, Check in was great but property was not inspected and put in proper shape upon our arrival. Had to call and get outdoor shower fixed on our arrival. That should have been taken care of before arrival. Did not like the having to wait over 45 days to get my damage deposit back. You knew within a few days that we did not damage anything. Why hold MY money for over 45 days!!!! Don't know that I will rent from Century 21 at Topsail again. Have gone to Emerald Isle in the past and the rental agency there was just GREA... read more
Enjoyed our stay at the Channel marker,perfect house for my family.
First the good: I was kept well informed about the rental and expectations via email on a regular basis. It was easy to book the rental. When we had a plumbing issue, a plumber came to the unit and resolved the issue within a very short amount of time. Now the not so good: When I stopped to pick up the packet with keys and passes, the receptionist was rather rude and obviously not happy to see me at 4:50 in the afternoon. House is OK. It needs a mid season cleaning. On both of the ocean side bedrooms the carpet by the sliding door wall has mold (the carpet is black). The bedroom with the king bed leaked with the rain. I reported these issues and basically was brushed off stating all houses here have similar issues. We have rented this house three years in a row and this year it had the leak and mold issues. We will rethink renting this house again because of the mold issues
We enjoyed our stay. There were a couple of things we had to get fixed ( tub and hood that covers chimney). Service was quick. The shower liner was extremely dirty. You would think the cleaning service would have cleaned or changed it. Linens and towels was wrapped in plastic., which we appreciated. Peaceful area, friendly people
Your staff there was very friendly and upbeat. I stayed in Sea-Cluded in Serenity Point. This was my first time renting from you and my first time in Serenity Point. I have been coming to different parts of Topsail my entire life every year. The unit was superbly furnished. There was never a time I felt there was something I needed. I really appreciated the fact that linens were standard for the unit. Nice not having to bring my own. The care bag with soaps etc. was a great touch. I now have a new realtor for next year!
