I went for a bloodclot and DESPITE me explaining there was no trauma, PLUS THE ACTUAL BLOODCLOT WAS VISIBLE, my USELESS nurse did an x-ray and gave a FALSE DIAGNOSIS of a "sprain" and tried to give me a splint. This USELESS nurse then prescribed ibuprofen FOR A BLOODCLOT and said "they couldn't send me for an ultrasound BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T KNOW THAT IT WAS A BLOODCLOT". My husband and I had a scheduled c-section on Thursday 9/24/2020. When I say I was petrified to be going through this procedure as a first time mom is an understatement. We walked in and was greeted by the receptionist and they explained the registration process, once we were sent to second floor for the OB OR and were greeted by the nursing staff and explained for every step what the nurse was doing and why they were doing the tasks throughout the entire process. I just want to thank the amazing crew who helped deliver my son Parker who was born on sept 11. We had an emergency c section and I couldn’t be happier with the nurses, doctors and Anesthesiologist who took care of us. My father was there being treated for pneumonia and got better but was still in the hospital until they were going to release him he ended up bleeding to death while under their care

Hire qualified nurses who are dedicated to what they do. Also the row of nurses in the hall should do a better job of answering the phones. They sit out there laughing and carrying on, especially the night shift. It's difficult for a patient to get any rest.
Worried about appendicitis I took myself to the out of the way Summerville ER. From the front door to the ER staff to radiology to the O R what a remarkable group of people. I went the extra distance to SMC because my doctors are there, but was hesitant about COVID exposure. Clean sterile environment all the way through the observation unit. So glad I made the choice. Thank you SMC staff and Dr. Warren my Hospital of choice always. Linda
Friend of mine has been in your hospital for the past week and half, her daughter bought 2 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts for the 3rd floor nurses who have been taking excellent care of her as appreciation for all their hard work and care. Door dash delivered, but your crummy, despicable, and rude security guard not only ate some of those donuts, but allowed others to eat them as well, until there was only one dozen left!!!! Kelly, thank you for letting us know about the order from Krispy Kreme. According to our 3rd floor colleagues they did receive a second dozen. But, it was not with the original order. Gifts like the one your friend’s daughter gave are thoughtful and mean a lot to our staff.
I have had two surgeries there in the last 14 months and have left there both times with bad staff infections. They said if I hadn't already paid my bill they could had taken a percentage off. Really what a statement! Be very afraid, very afraid!!!!
