We have new extended hours for appointments. We know you have a busy schedule and we want to make providing the best health care for your pet as easy as possible. We have appointment available Monday thru Friday from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. We are also available 7 days a week for emergency or urgent care needs during those business hours. Friendly Service Dr. McLain is a very friendly vet who gives you her undivided attention. If you call with a question she will talk to you on the phone personally. The office staff are just as friendly and helpful to get your questions answered. Central Valley Veterinary Hospital is very pet rescue friendly.
Money Hungry My dog was injured and needed his bandage changed everyday. Every time I took him in to get his bandage changed I was charged a different price depending on who was working. Every day it would go up and up. I could not understand why because when we had the initial visit I asked them what the cost would be. this hospital has my guinea pig murdered by overdose Laura Mclain, a licensed doctor from this hospital, prescribed 1mg of Metoclopramide per 8 hours to my sick 1kg guinea pig. Immediately after taking the medicine, my guinea pig started to struggle and passed away after half an hour (torturing hour). I later found that the suggested dose for animal is 0.1 to 0.2 mg per pound, which means the dose Laura Mclain gave my piggy is 2.3 times over the upper limit. Just do you pet a favor and avoid the murders!
