I have a young family member under the age of 50 who is in the faclilty , and let me give you my opinion, when we toured the facility we were quite impressed with the social services director at that time Ms. Regina, and with the PT dept, and the nurses and CNA were very kind and considerate that was over 2 months over, however 3 months later things have taken a drastic change, the social woker has left, we have no idea who the social worker manger is, the assistant is okay, and trys to help as much as she can but she is new... read more

I needed 2 weeks of rehab for my shoulder. Central Park was available. My husband did read reviews on the internet and told me they were bad. I spoke to my nurse, she said with my personality I would speak up and transfer centers if bad. Well I should have not went, I lasted 4 hours, I called my husband and he came to get me. I was not given my medicine, I asked for water, I was given 2 glasses of ice chips and 2 cups of orange juice. I am a diabetic and needed my meds and cannot drink orange juice. Went to bathroom and poop... read more

This is absolutely the worst place to send a loved one for rehab treatment. The facility is dirty and the staff is so inefficient it isn't funny. They are more in tune to chasing their fellow co-workers around the halls, they are none responsive to alerts and keep shifting the responsibility to other co-workers so nothing gets done. They leave your loved one in the hallways for hours on end waiting for the therapist to the point that sores on their backside appear from setting in a wheel chair for long periods. There is no o... read more

I have had the pleasure of using Central Park on 3 occasions now. All were wonderful. The staff that took care of daily needs, the rehab that made both of them walk again. The fact they made them feel welcome, loved and respected. I owe Central Park my Moms ability to come home. Thank you. Love Dana

Please think before you send one of your loved ones there. They even ask you to sign a form that you won't sue them,& if you sign you can cancel it also. My husbands 4th day he was so badly burned on his behind & inner thighs, from lying in his stool & urine. The wash cloths they use are like brillo so I ask if they had wipes & they said I had to bring my own & so I did. If my husband had a voice he would be screaming in pain he was so raw. Everyday I got there I had to change him right away he was always in a wet & pooped dia... read more

To all people looking for a facility to place your dear ones, whatever you do, do not place them in this facility. You will regret it dearly. Of course, that is if you care!!! My mother's primary physician sent her here for 21 days of rehab and I ended up taking her out on the 5th day due to uncleanliness and incompetent staff. The dieticians had no clue on how to properly give my mother her meals and she ended up loosing 9 lbs in her stay. When things got dirty such as floors, etc they would just clean it with a towel and th... read more

I am very disappointed with this facility. The word INCOMPETENCE comes to mind as well as short staff, and ill-suited to treat patient's. They over medicate when your family member is awake just so they don't have to bother with the patient. If your family member is asleep they don't wake them to give their meds (sorry to: stroke pts/ heart and diabetic pts..etc). In the evening practically all patient's are asleep at same time. Go see for yourself. Majority of patient's are on diaper's. There are (2) CNA's to 24 patient's, ... read more

My aunt was taken to Central Park Rehab by her grandson. I became her POA after learning of his stealing $200,000+ from her. Since I am not in FL, I needed help with some legal papers. The administration is terrible! They were seldom there to answer their phones, wouldn't return calls. I had a paper I needed signed by my aunt and notarized. It took over a month and many phone calls to get the paper to me. Then it hadn't been notarized so it was useless! My aunt said several of the people who do the 'hands on work' to care fo... read more

My father was admitted to Central Park Nursing and Rehab just a few days ago. One of his brothers and his wife are visiting right now and found that my father had defecated all over himself because the staff told him he needs to go to the bathroom by himself, which he can't do due to severe pain and high dosages of pain meds. He is extremely embarrassed. He also has an open wound on his backside, which he had prior to being admitted, but that the staff was aware of, that is causing him much discomfort due to the obvious curr... read more
