Mostly a great place but thought people working in the departments are supposed to be informed about the products in those departments. Dear Cheese ladies who argued with me today, please google Brie and Camembert cheeses. They are not the same. Camembert is not a Brie! If you are going to be assigned to a specialty department you need to know your products.
I am very frustrated by a recent change in the bulk section. The gluten free flours used to be in a separate area from flours containing gluten. While I recognize that there was always some risk of cross-contamination, it was minimal, and a risk I was willing to take. Today I went into the store and was amazed/disgusted to find that gluten free and glutinous flours are now intermingled. The risk of cross-contamination is now 100%. Central Market, this is a punch in the gut that none of us deserve. What were you thinking???
